The Tennessee Whiskey Trail is ringing in the holiday season with its Carols & Barrels tasting program, a collection of festive holiday pop-ups featuring specialty cocktails, themed decor and premier entertainment.

Through Jan. 2025, participating Middle Tennessee distilleries and tasting rooms will each offer a seasonal signature beverage. These include Standard Proof Whiskey Co.’s “The Filthy Animal” peppermint white chocolate espresso martini, Stable Reserve’s “Cousin Eddie” bourbon custard and Leiper’s Fork Distillery’s spiced cherry mule, among others.

“The holidays are a festive time that brings people together, often over a cup of cheer,” says Charity Toombs, executive director of the Tennessee Whiskey Trail. “We hope that our trail experience encourages people to explore the offerings along the trail and get into the holiday spirit, whether it is a Tennessee spirit they know and love or one that is new to them this season.”

Visitors can win exclusive prizes by checking in on Carols & Barrels’ digital passport program and earning virtual stamps as they visit each location. These rewards include a trail-branded ice mold for attendees who visit more than five stops and a bar kit for guests who visit all 10 destinations.

Toombs says, “Through all our efforts programs, we aim to responsibly promote and advocate for the distilling industry in Tennessee, and Carols & Barrels is a fun way the Tennessee Whiskey Trail continues to raise consumer awareness of our members.” For a full list of participating vendors and for additional event information, visit the Tennessee Whiskey Trail website.
