In honor of National Dog Day on Monday, Aug. 26, Nashville fragrance house Ranger Station has launched a limited edition pet care collaboration, 'Bark Ranger,' with Wags & Walks, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing euthanasia in local shelters and supporting rescue and rehoming initiatives for dogs in need.

Founded by Steve and Jordan Soderholm who met while attending Belmont University, Ranger Station is known for its high-end candles, meticulous perfuming techniques and expansive portfolio of unisex, nature-inspired scents. The company has collaborated with the likes of Noah Kahn, hotels Marine & Lawn, The Graduate Hotel and Hotel 1928, nonprofit Porter’s Call and lifestyle brand Seager. The brand’s latest collaboration includes a candle, a bottle of shampoo and a deodorizing spray crafted with guidance from Wags & Walks’ veterinary team.

“We have seen firsthand how committed this team is to doing what is best for dogs, no matter the cost. So when they asked us to develop a pet care collection with them, we couldn’t be more honored. We created this collection with both pets and their humans in mind,” says Jordan Soderholm, Ranger Station co-founder and chief growth officer.

The 8-ounce 'Barker Ranger' candle, hand-poured with a premium soy wax blend and packaged in Nashville, has an over 30-hour burn time and is safe for pets—as is the case with all Ranger Station products. The shampoo is formulated without parabens or sulfates to promote a healthy coat and the hand-mixed ‘Barker Ranger’ deodorizing spray neutralizes odors with essential oils to diminish the need for frequent washing. The products’ fragrance notes of Mediterranean clary sage, Australian sandalwood oakmoss and cedar atlas mingle to purify and infuse the air with cleansing aromatic scents.

“The really cool thing about the Bark Ranger fragrance is that it focuses on what I call ‘antiquity’ fragrances. All of the main fragrance notes are things that have been used for centuries for their calming properties,” Soderholm says.

The collection will be available for purchase exclusively from the Ranger Station website and its Nashville flagship store starting at 10 a.m. CST on Aug. 26.

“Wags & Walks is thrilled to be working alongside Ranger Station to help rescue and rehome thousands of dogs in Nashville every year," says Kathryn Hurley Dhall, Wags & Walks Nashville executive director. "The partnership was an organic fit from the start thanks to our relationship with Jordan and Steve, the music industry connection and our obsession with Ranger Station products. As a staple in Nashville, we love that we are both investing in our city and the people who live here."
