The new year ushers in a period of resetting and renewal, but it also brings in plenty of great watches. Read on for the not-to-miss shows and movies arriving in January.

Jason Kelce has made it to late-night television. Spanning five episodes (through the end of the NFL’s regular season), the former Eagles center will host a one-hour program from Union Transfer in Philadelphia. The immersive experience will see Kelce and his guests from football and beyond dive into NFL topics in front of a studio audience—all of which will be accented by Kelce’s signature charm and humor.

Abbott Elementary- Season 4B

Everyone’s favorite Philly teachers return in early January after a much-needed holiday break. The second half of season 4 kicks off with a highly anticipated crossover: Janine (Quinta Brunson), Gregory (Tyler James Williams) and the rest of the Abbott Elementary staff cross paths with the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia gang.

The Traitors- Season 3

Peacock’s beloved reality competition hosted by Alan Cumming is back. Featuring a cast of stars from Big Brother, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Survivor, The Real Housewives, Selling Sunset and more, 21 of reality TV’s favorite characters will go head to head at a castle in the Scottish Highlands for the ultimate murder mystery game.

September 5

Following a limited theatrical release, this Golden Globe-nominated film will expand into more theaters this month. September 5 stars Peter Sarsgaard, John Magaro, Ben Chaplin and Leonie Benesch in a historical drama about how an American sports broadcasting team must adapt from covering the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich to the hostage crisis of Israeli athletes.

Where to watch: In theaters Jan. 17

The Last Showgirl

After a limited theatrical release in December, Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl hits more theaters in January. The drama depicts the life of a showgirl—played by Pamela Anderson—whose show abruptly ends after a successful three-decade run. The cast also includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka, Billie Lourd and Jason Schwartzman.

Where to watch: In theaters Jan. 10

Severance- Season 2

One of television’s most anticipated returns happens this month with the debut of Severance season 2. The first batch of episodes unfolded a daring work-life balance experiment that surgically divided the work and personal-life memories of the employees at Lumon Industries. Now, Mark Scout (Adam Scott) and his friends will come to learn the grim consequences of toying with the severance barrier.

Mo- Season 2

Mo Amer’s semi-autobiographical Netflix series inspires laughs and heartfelt moments, capturing his life as a Palestinian refugee in Houston as he and his family work to secure asylum. The end of season 1 leaves Mo stranded on the other side of the Texas-Mexico border. Without a passport, the new slate of episodes sees Mo hustle back to Houston before his family’s asylum hearing and before a new guy in town wins over his longtime love.
