Marsh House’s bar and lounge area

One of Nashville’s most popular dining spots is launching a new collaborative dinner series.

Marsh House, Music City’s premier destination for responsibly sourced, sustainable seafood, seasonal craft cocktails and global wine pairings, will partner with special guests from across the country for a series of weekend-long collaborative culinary experiences.

Helmed by QED Hospitality (Marsh House, L.A. Jackson, Killebrew Coffee at The Thompson Hotel Nashville and more), from executive chef and owner Brian Landry and CEO and owner Emery Whalen, The Thompson Hotel's signature eatery will kick off the series by hosting executive chef Michelle Weaver of The Charleston Grill on the weekend of Aug. 23.

Visitors can join in for a patio cookout on Friday, Aug. 23 at 6 p.m., featuring a lineup of tasty hors d’oeuvres and libations, and a four-course dinner with wine pairings on Sat., Aug. 24, priced at $150 per person, inclusive of food, wine, tax and gratuity.

Nestled within The Charleston Place, an upscale travel destination in Charleston’s French Quarter, Charleston Grill is known for its Southern French fare and ultra-luxe wine pairings.

Executive chef Michelle Weaver

Throughout her career as executive chef at Charleston Grill, Weaver has sourced ingredients from local farmers and anglers and crafted high-caliber culinary offerings—from strawberry jam-topped seared foie gras and sweet potato gnocchi—that have landed the dining destination accolades like the AAA Four-Diamond Award, the Mobil Four-Star Award, Wine Spectator’s “Best of Award” and a spot in the Fine Dining Hall of Fame.

Since opening in 2016, Marsh House has established itself as a prominent player in Nashville’s vibrant culinary scene, honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2019 Restaurant Awards. The mainstay serves popular menu staples like gumbo, salmon tartar and lobster fra diabolo and fan-favorite wine selections like Chateau Musar and François Raveneau.

Throughout the experience, Weaver will collaborate with Marsh House’s culinary team, combining personal specialties and technical expertise to provide guests with a carefully curated selection of featured dishes.

Each weekend series event will begin with a patio cookout on Friday, followed by a ticketed, multi-course dinner with wine pairings on Saturday and menu specials on Sunday. The eatery has announced that New Orleans-based chef and restauranteur Susan Spicer of Bayona and Rosedale will be featured in the collaborative dinner series later this year.

Along with the ongoing series, the Thompson’s rooftop bar L.A. Jackson is set to host a Tiki Party on Thursday, Aug. 22, from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. (reservations not required). The event will feature handcrafted tropical cocktails, fire dancers at sunset and Hawaiian-inspired snacks and dishes, including a whole roasted pig.
