The Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. has just unveiled a highly anticipated new addition to the Music City Walk of Fame: two-time CMA Entertainer of The Year Luke Combs. On Oct. 30 at 1 p.m., the country music icon will be inducted into the prestigious, star-studded block, joining industry legends Jimmy Buffet and The Fairfield Four, along with Colin Reed of Ryman Hospitality Properties and Grand Ole Opry announcer and host Bill Cody as a tribute to the venue’s 100th anniversary.

On Oct. 12, a surprise on-stage announcement and video revealed the news to Combs during the three-day Luke Combs Bootleggers Bonfire festival at Miramar Beach, FL. Open to the public, the ceremony will induct the 105th, 106th, 107th, 108th and 109th stars on the Music City Walk of Fame, who are honored for their contributions to the music industry and triumphs in conserving Nashville’s musical legacy.

“Luke’s stellar career, marked by chart-topping hits and a deep connection to his fans, has made him one of country music’s brightest stars and the perfect addition to this prestigious group of honorees,” says Deana Ivey, President and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. “It was a special moment for Luke to hear about his induction into the Music City Walk of Fame alongside hundreds of his dedicated fans, and we hope many of them will travel to Nashville to celebrate with him in person at the ceremony.”

At the commemoration, former Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam will induct Reed, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Larry Gatlin will induct Cody, artist and Music City Walk of Fame member Mac McAnally will induct Buffett and Shannon Sanders, executive director of creative at BMI Nashville and award-winning songwriter and producer, will induct The Fairfield Four.

Combs’ induction follows the release of his full-length album, Fathers & Sons, on Columbia Nashville. Throughout his career, he has been named an 11-time CMA, a four-time ACM and a six-time Billboard Music Award winner. The multi-platinum, award-winning artist is nominated for three awards at the 58th-annual CMA Awards, including Entertainer of The Year.
