Fall has officially arrived in Nashville, and we’ve compiled the best Halloween-themed pop-up bars to get into the spirit of the season.

It’s Fall Y’all at The Dream Nashville

210 4th Ave. N. / Dream Nashville

The Dream Hotel’s Parlour Bar has been transformed into an autumnal wonderland, complete with all the season’s trappings: pumpkins, hay bales, cascades of autumn leaves, flannel blankets and lush mums—there’s even a porch swing out by the valet for the perfect fall photo op! Inside, enjoy spooky sips like the Perky Pumpkin, a seasonal spin on the espresso martini, Hay Bale Rides, a vodka-based concoction featuring house-made grenadine, lime, chinola, Select Apertivo and garnished with an orange wedge and mint bouquet, It’s Fall Y’all, a gin-based cocktail that is topped with a picture-perfect Fall Y’all stencil, and Apple Pie Jello Shots. There are also seasonal snacks, including Fall Squash Flatbread, Mushroom Arancini, Beet Hummus with crudités and endive, Harvest Charcuterie Board with Apple Bread Pudding and Baked Alaska for dessert.

The Raven’s Nest at Bar TENN. Holston House Nashville

118 7th Ave. N. / Holston House Nashville

This Edgar Allen Poe-themed den of dark and eerie doings is the perfect Halloween pop-up for the book lover in your life…or anyone looking for a literary-themed libation and a scare! Step into Bar TENN. and be transported into a gothic wonderland, complete with skulls, lanterns and a menu that’s to die for. Drinks include the Elixir of Dorian Grey (London dry gin, Earl Gray, pear, sage, lemon); The Black Veil (Irish whiskey, fig, black pepper, bitters); and The Red Death (coconut rum, raspberry, pine, egg white, lemon), while snacks like the Devil’s Eggs (red wine boiled eggs with avocado green goddess yolks) and Blood Spattered Steak Plate (grass-fed 12 ox. NY strip with smasher fingerling potatoes topped with parmesan, and blackberry Cognac cream sauce) are sure to satiate.

Black Lagoon Pop-Up Experience at Barrel Proof

1010 4th Ave. N. / Barrel Proof Nashville

Black Lagoon, the acclaimed Halloween pop-up created by bar industry veterans Erin Hayes and Kelsey Ramage. The annual event, born out of a successful pop-up at the cult favorite New Orleans dive bar, The Dungeon, quickly gained a devoted following of cocktail and Halloween enthusiasts, solidifying its place as an annual staple for Halloween celebrations. This year, The Black Lagoon takes over Barrel Proof with hauntingly delicious cocktails, including Nosferatu’s Rise (Coconut Oil Lot 40, Lustau Amontillado Sherry, Cinnamon Syrup, Bitter Queens Caribbean Bitters, Saline); Hex Appeal (Fords Gin, Honeydew Cordial, Lustau Vermut Dry, Lemon Juice, Seltzer, Saline, Absinthe, Chlorophyll); Memento Mori (Mezcal Union, Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, Cruzan Blackstrap Rum, Cold Brew Concentrate, Giffard Banane, Lustau Amontillado, Saline, Bitter Queens Chinese 5 Spice); and the N/A cocktail Blood Lust (Giffard Sirop, Miso Falernum, Rooibos Tea, Lemon Juice, Ginger Beer).

The Sandworm at Hidden Bar at Noelle Hotel

200 4th Ave. N. / Hidden Bar

Steps below the Noelle Hotel, the Hidden Bar has become a Netherworld. Step in and be transported to Winter River and inside the dark and moody mind of Beetlejuice. Crude, rude and anything but ordinary, everyone’s favorite troublesome spirit inspires creative cocktails, delightful fare and hidden musings around every corner. The Hidden Bar never misses with their decor, and this pop-up is no exception. With spooky, moody interactive vignettes at every turn, you better be careful not to say that name three times lest he’s certain to make an appearance. Toast the season with creepy cocktails like The Headshrinker or the Strange & Unusual cocktail and enjoy bites such as Delia’s Prawn Cocktail and Afterlife Fries.
