Food & Drink, Food & Drink,
One of London’s most highly lauded cocktail bars is collaborating with a renowned Downtown Nashville bar to honor the life, legacy and artistry of trailblazing fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
Drawing inspiration from the Frist Art Museum’s Lee Alexander McQueen & Ann Ray: Rendez-Vous exhibit, a curated cocktail pop-up experience will debut for just two nights at The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nashville’s ultra-luxe cocktail lounge Four Walls on Friday, August 2 and Saturday, August 3.
The pop-up is hosted in alliance with bartender and restauranteur Ryan Chetiyawardana’s swanky South Bank cocktail bar Lyaness—winner of the coveted World’s Best Bar Spirited Award at Tales of the Cocktail 2022. The first-of-its-kind event features a menu helmed by Four Walls’ lead bartender, Mickey Stevenson and Lyaness’ head bartender, Louis Macpherson, with support from head waiter Lucy Thomas.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Louis and Lucy to Nashville for this collaborative event,” says Stevenson. “Lyaness is a legendary establishment and it’s a privilege to work alongside the team to bring the London experience to our dedicated guests in Nashville.”
Guests will have the chance to try themed cocktails inspired by the exhibition, like Four Walls’ Brixton Veranda, a twist on the British classic cocktail Pimm’s Cup, crafted with Pimm’s, dandelion, watermelon, lemongrass, lemon and ginger.

As the Lee Alexander McQueen & Ann Ray: Rendez-Vous exhibit debuts at Nashville’s Frist Art Museum, visitors will have the chance to receive a rare glimpse into McQueen’s inner life, told through the lens of French photographer Ann Ray. Showcasing 65 hand-selected photographs by Ray and more than 60 dress objects crafted throughout the course of McQueen’s career, the exhibit explores McQueen’s trailblazing subversive artistry and uncompromising expression of individuality.
“This is our first time visiting Nashville and we’re over the moon to be here,” says Louis Macpherson, Head Bartender of Lyaness. “Alexander McQueen is an iconic London figure, and we’re grateful to the Four Walls team for allowing us to flex our creative muscles to create cocktails that might honor his legacy.”

The collaboration marks the continuation of Four Walls’ newest event series, which hosts experiences alongside award-winning bars inspired by exhibitions at Frist Art Museum. Honoring The Joseph’s dedication to the art community, Four Walls has previously featured a two-night pop-up inspired by the museum's Southern/Modern exhibit, hosted in collaboration with New Orleans’ Jewel of the South—which was recently titled an “Outstanding Bar” in the 2024 James Beard Awards.
